Snapping audio output to 100%

I’m very glad I can push the audio past 100% volume, it’s been extremely useful. However, does anyone know of a way to snap the audio back to 100%? I mostly increase it for specific instances, and then set it back to 100 for everything else, but it always sucks having to play with the slider to get it exactly to 100. Is there a keybind or a snap-to feature I can enable?

I use pulseaudio to do stuff like this.

pactl set-sink-volume @DEFAULT_SINK@ 100%

Note that if you want to set up an icon to do this, using a .desktop file, in the arguments the “%” character has to be doubled.

hi, welcome.

you can always just uncheck the Raise Maximum Volume box in the audio configuration settings so it cannot go past 100%

and/or you can also set the increments for media volume controls (if you have them) to make it easier to hit your target volume level.
