Hi. I’m running KDE Plasma 6.2.3 with Wayland. I have a dual monitor setup, one monitor being a TV. Everything was working great, but there was a very minor quirk whereby I always had to turn the second monitor (TV) on after the computer otherwise the resolution was incorrect.
Not sure exactly what I did, but last night I managed to get my computer in a state in which if the TV is plugged in at all, both monitors go blank with “unsupported signal”. The moment I unplug the TV, I get my primary monitor back.
I did experience this a couple of times with KDE Plasma 5, and whenever I did, I would delete ~/.local/share/kscreen
, reboot, and everything would be fine again.
I have noticed this directory no longer exists on KDE Plasma 6, but there is a ~/.config/kwinoutputconfig.json
file. I have tried deleting this JSON file and rebooting, but this doesn’t solve my issue.
If there any way to simply reset the display (monitor) setup to default?
