Some KDE apps discontined the snap version?

Hello,
I was looking at KDE snaps in the Snap Store, but a lot of the snaps I checked seem to be older than the ubuntu repository’s ones.

Eg.
Labplot v2.10 - Ubuntu 24.10 repository have the most updated 2.11.1
Ktorrent v23.08.4 vs Ubuntu’s 23.08.5
Haruna 0.11.3 vs Ubuntu’s 0.12.3
Krita 5.2.2 vs Ubuntu’s 5.2.3

I wanted to switch some apps to the snap version because ubuntu is now stable and the ubuntu repository versions won’t follow the latest release, but I found that many Snap apps are still older than the Ubuntu “apt versions”

Other apps, like Kate or Kdenlive are regularly updated, but I was wondering if some apps have “discontinued” the snap packages

Hi - general status updates to KDE’s Snap packages seem to mostly be published through Scarlett Gately Moore’s blog, the most recent post of which is here:

https://www.scarlettgatelymoore.dev/kubuntu-24-10-released-kde-snaps-at-24-08-2-and-i-lived-to-tell-you-about-it/?utm_source=atom_feed

In general, the Kubuntu team seems to run on a pretty small number of volunteers and little monetary support. I would suspect that gaps in updates for KDE Snaps are not due to an intentional discontinuation, but due to time/volunteer availability, especially for cases that are outside of the KDE Gear subset of core apps.
