I’m find the sorting options in Discover to not be tremendously useful. When trying to browse for entries in a category, I find myself scrolling through a lot of niche, specialized applications to find things I might be interested in. I notice there’s a Ratings sort method, but that only sorts by the number of stars. I also notice there’s a review count, which could serve as a useful proxy for how “popular” a given package is. It would be useful to be able to sort by that.

indeed the sorting in discover could be better and having a proxy for the same utility as “most downloaded” you find in the add more… features elsewhere on the desktop would be an added bit of consistency.
i think this idea warrants a “wish list” entry into bugs.kde.org
