I have Plasma 5.27.10 on Fedora 38, Wayland.
I have two main layouts (IE, RU). I want to add another layout which I only use occationally (GE). So I tried to use the “Spare layouts” fetude, as shown on the attached screenshot.
Unfortunately the feature does not appear to work. Alt+Shift still switches between IE, RU, and GE, then back to IE.
Is there a way to make Alt+Shift just switch IE and RU, with GE available with a separate hotkey and in the context menu? Thanks!
Spare layouts only works on X11. An alternative feature is being implemented (Add toggle previous keyboard layout shortcut (!1722) · Merge requests · Plasma / Plasma Desktop · GitLab)
It’s also doen’t seem to work correctly. It doesn’t work if layout haven’t been switched at least once.
For this, gnome has more correct behavior: if you change layout once, then it changes only two last layouts, but if you change it repeatedly, then it goes further through the layout list
