Whenever I try taking a screenshot the spectacle window comes up with all the options and stuff… I don’t need that. Looking at the man page (or the program settings) there doesn’t seem to be an option to disable this? I just want to take a screenshot and automatically copy it man… I know I can use other tools for it but I am giving KDE a try for the first time and honestly so far I’ve not linked or enjoyed much of it lol.
I tried “–background” command but as soon as you do “-br” it just doesn’t work. This is super annoying.
hi, welcome.
you can use the shortcut keys to take the screenshots without opening the app….
if you open the app one more time
and go to configure > shortcuts you will see all the different types that correspond to the buttons on the GUI.
you can also disable (or reassign) the prt scr key so that it does not take a screen shot or even open the app, if that’s how you want your workflow… there are lots of options.
also in settings you can tell it where to save the files and how they are named, so there is no need for any save operation.
i set mine to save them to the desktop so i can see that they have been created and easily drag them into a text box to share images.
