Spectacle: Take Capture Minimized?

I have a bit of an unusual use case for specticle (making flashcards for studying using screengrabs of things) and every time I take a picture regardless of mode, specticle moves to that virtual desktop and occuldes the video.

Specticle Version: 23.041

Is this the proper forum to suggest enhancements like a button option to stay minimized on taking the picture (I’m new and have never done this before)?

Sounds like you’d benefit from using Spectacle’s command-line interface. Check out spectacle --help in a terminal window.

spectacle --background --nonotify --fullscreen (or spectacle -bnf for short) may be what you’re looking for. You can bind that command to a new global shortcut in System Settings > Shortcuts > Add Command…
