Spectacle's magnifier (zoom lens) using filtering makes it unusable

Spectacle has a magnifier feature that shows a small rectangular window next to the cursor that zooms into whatever it’s pointing.

The problem stems from the zoom using filtering on the final output, making everything a bit softer. Normally that would be okay for anything but this application. I’d much rather prefer it used integer scaling.
My use-case is simple, I only use the magnifier when I need to precisely line up my screenshot on something, which is impossible if all the edges aren’t where the actual edges of what I’m trying to line-up with are, combine this with a thick crosshair that has a gap RIGHT in the middle where it’s most needed and the magnifier loses all value.

I would suggest that the magnifier use integer scaling from now on and have a thinner or slightly transparent crosshair that reaches all the way to the middle to make lining-up stuff way easier. Additionally if possible it would be nice to be able to use “scroll to zoom” to modify the magnification of the window to make it easier to align with stuff or to zoom out and see a broader view.
