Speech to text install / config

I still can’t manage to install the speech to text plugin.
I have doubts regarding the understanding of the manual:

  1. Do I have to install VOSK if I just want to use Whisper?
  2. If I do have to install VOSK, which speech model is the most useful?
    My OS is Windows 11 PRO, Python 3.14 installed with VScode (I am learning to program in Python).
    I don’t know if it has anything to do with it, but when I start KDEnlive, sometimes the OS informs me that some parts have been blocked due to dlls that are not identified. Do I need to do anything in the Windows security section to prevent this?

Resolved.

Windows Security was blocking part of the application “_typeconv.cp314-win_amd64.pyd” and, in addition, during the installation in KDEnlive it gave the error “Error while running python3 script: c:/portables/KDEnlive/bin/data/kdenlive/scripts/whisper/whisperqyery.py.”

The solution was to disable “Smart App Control”.

By the way, the screenshots in the manual are outdated, both in the installation of the plugins and in other sections.
