Stereo wav puts both channels on one track

Hi all, I’m on v25.08.3 trying to import a stereo wav rendered in Reaper. Kdenlive puts it on one track rather than two, which gives no stereo effect. How do I get separate R and L channels? Thanks!

So, I’ve split the file in Audacity, and brought in each file to separate tracks. Is this the most elegant way, or is there an option to import a stereo audio file to 2 tracks, or even split within kdenlive?
