Recently, when I try to save .srt files from Subtitle Composer to my SMB network share I get an error “There was an error saving the subtitle”. This never used to be an issue and I can read/write/create files on the network share using other applications.
I figured it was a permissions problem, so I checked the permissions in Application Permissions, and Subtitle Composer has “All System Files” read/write permission.
Weirdly, if I change the permissions to “All User Files” and disable “All System Files”, I can save files (it shows the path /run/user/1000/doc/… in the titlebar) but Subtitle Composer then won’t load the video file associated with the SRT file.
I’m using Fedora Linux 44 KDE Plasma Desktop Edition
