My Fedora 43 installation recently updated to plasmashell 6.6.1 and ever since then, all windows have received window decorations, even notifications and the settings. This is a bit annoying and causes a few problems and I haven’t figured out why this happens yet. I am running Wayland.
I really have no idea where to even start with this so any help would be appreciated!
I’m also on Fedora 43 with Plasma 6.6.1. (I also use Syncthingy, as it happens!)
I don’t get this problem. That’s not intended to be an unhelpful “WFFM” response, but to help narrow it down a bit - i.e. this doesn’t seem to be a generic Fedora 43 / Plasma 6.6.1 problem, but it must be an unintended consequence of something in your setup.
I have the same problem on Fedora 42 (Asahi Remix) and Plasma 6.6.1. It actually started as soon as I upgraded to 6.6. All plasmashell windows as well as GTK applications now have extra window decorations.
