Support for SichboPVR app

I have problems with KDE Neon with a TV application (SishboPVR4) and I hope someone can help me understand what is wrong.

I use KDE Neon as a system to daily drive my “Home Media Center” system connected to a 55" TV and mult-chanel amp to manage a Jellyfin server, webradio, music audio, midi and other multimedia compositions and (of course) a TV application. All with multi-channel audio support (AC3 & HDMI).

Only program that creates problems for me is the SichboPVR4 TV application.
Note: This application works perfectly under other distributions based on ubuntu 22.04 LTS with Gnome, xfce and Cinnamon interfaces but not under KDE.

What does not work:

  • The display window of the application is itself embedded in a second frame.
  • maximizing to full screen then minimizing to windowed results in a crash of the application.
  • incremental problems of the audio/video synchronization (sound that shifts as it goes). On the other hand, I had no sync problems when playing videos with Jellyfin, MPV or VLC. could it be some HW accelerated audio/video issues?

It seems that there is a problem with many KDE based distribs like KDE Neon and Kubuntu that does not exist on other interfaces (and distributions).

Does anyone have any idea what could create these problems?

Newbie question: Is it possible that the “effects” of KDE plasma are at fault? And, is it possible to disable these effects or to configure per app to fallback to x11 and per application?
