Tab bar does not scroll when dragging a tab over the edges

When you have a lot of tabs and you want to move one of them all the way to the end, you cannot move past the last visible tab, because the tab-bar doesn’t scroll.

There doesn’t seem to be any keyboard shortcut to move tabs around, which would also be good for accessibility.

GNOME Text Editor does scroll when dragging a tab over the edges, but then its tab-bar works very differently regarding scrolling when compared to Kate.

I could not find any setting to change this, so it might be a missing feature. I just needed to be sure before going to bugs.kde.org. What do you think?

I just found out that the same behavior is seen in Konsole too, so I guess that the tab-bar widget is a standard component that any app can use. I need to find the exact component name so I can take this to bugs.kde.org.

Found a relevant feature request for “better tab management” in Kate. With the exception of “Move to New Window”, the suggested “move” actions are still missing. These would be identical to the Firefox actions from the tab context menu:

2. Move Tab
	Move to Start
	Move to End
	Move to New Window

These would certainly help too.
