Hello,
I have a problem with my Wacom Intuos BT S (CTL-4100WL),(connected via usb), where the options in the Tablet Mapping (Map Tablet Area to Screen) in graphic tablet settings don’t affect anything when I change them. I would like to make the tablet area smaller, but I am unable to. I have installed and ran Wacom Tablet Finder and it is able to find my tablet.
The tablet seems to function normally in all other ways. What happens is that I change the area in “Map Tablet Area to Screen” and when I press OK and press apply, the tablet functions like I had not changed anything. If I close settings and then open “Map Tablet Area to Screen” again, all of the options have gone back to the default values.
Any positive input is appreciated.
Thank you for reading.
After updating to Plasma 6.3.1, the new Drawing Tablet tab is not there. I checked this forum and another person had that problem, but on Fedora. The fix that worked for them was to reinstall Fedora. I guess I should inform the OpenMandriva forum about this. Is there anything else I could attempt instead of a whole reinstall?
Hi, i’m the guy on fedora from that post you mentioned,
After tinkering with the new fedora install, i did notice that the tablet options do not show up on x11- the options are only there on Wayland.
on this fresh fedora install, i didn’t install x11 untill after updating to the new kde to make sure the options were there on a fresh install
(however when i upgraded to the new kde plasma from the old one with x11 already installed, it wasn’t in either x11 or wayland which is why i had to reinstall the OS)
I don’t know if this information is helpful to anybody, but i wish you good luck in fixing your problem!
Yes, it seems that all the tablet packages they offer are installed. So the issue now is that the tablet works but there are no tablet settings I can change (
“KDE Wacom tablet module” and the “Drawing Tablet” tab don’t show up in System Settings).
