I am a fairly new KDE Plasma user, and overall, I am really enjoying the desktop. However, I have a small problem regarding visibility/accessibility.
While minimized, the apps on the task manager are barely visible on the breeze light and breeze dark themes. So much so that I am having hard time distinguishing whether an app is running or not. For reference, here is the screenshot:
Here, Dolphin, Firefox, Chromium, and Spotify are running. However I need to really focus to see them that they are running. Is there a way to increase the translucency of the open apps without changing the global theme? I really like breeze and I would like to stay with it.
the contrast in your screen capture does seem lighter than mine (using either breeze dark or breeze twilight), but i don’t know of any way to tweak that other than editing the global theme itself (or trying a different one).
you might also look at changing your gamma settings on the display to increase contrast.
short of that, you can go into setting > global theme > plasma style
and chose the pencil icon to edit the theme, search for “task” and it should take you to the preview for the task manager where you can hit the create with an editor button and that should take you inkscape if you have it installed.
that’s as far as i got, but it seems like all the colors are there for editing.
