Taskbar new style look

original with that win10 look

Something more inline with rounded style present in kde plasma

You are aware of plasma styles right? If so, nothing’s keeping you of making one.

That being said, even very basic panels like, say, tint2 have more options. Not that I care if something looks like windoz this and that though.

Ok. I’m starting editing plasma theme.
When I edit task.svgz in inscape I see changes in UI. However I do not see any changes when I edit button.svgz

I also perform

rm -r ~/.cache/plasma*
plasmashell --replace

like shown here

Myeah. I suggest you dive a little bit deeper in, in this case, plasma theming. The button svgz in a plasma theme is something like this:

As a matter of fact, I strongly advise you, as a “former” windoz groupie with a strong…say, “urge” ( to put it mildly) to have ui changes in kde, to dive a little bit deeper in how things exactly work. Download and try a couple of, in this case, plasma themes. Preferably with a lot of svgz’s and color settings. Might be easier to define what does what exactly. This ain’t windoz which couldn’t care a r…'s a.. if there are user options or alternatives.

I almost finished with implementation of my idea

Simple change which makes everything more compatible with default plasma style.

Very nice. Would be cool if you could implement dominant icon colors and icon color defined indicators and all that. I assume that many ( read: thousands, for sure) users would like a more coherent look like that. Just a simple change.

For now I will stick with this.

I prefer this.
