Taskbar takes up ghost space

Hello, I have this weird problem where my taskbar has some additional “ghost space” and often covers window buttons of fullscreen applications (see attached gif because I don’t really know how else to describe it) and I don’t know if I can do anything about it.

Are you using panel colorizer or other extension to make the panel fully transparent (no blur and contrast effects)?

If you are then you need to either restore the blur and contrast effects or disable floating panel

Edit: here is the downstream bug in Panel colorizer Popup/dialogs/clickable area at incorrect position if 'Native panel background' is disabled, especially with Floating panels · Issue #80 · luisbocanegra/plasma-panel-colorizer · GitHub will file a kde bug about this later today
