I wonder why KDE Store uses Google Analytics when user privacy is one of the main KDE priorities.
Is it because the store is hosted on the opendesktop.org platform? Something to do with Pling?

Correct, store.kde.org is actually not run by KDE; it’s basically a skinned redirect to the data you can see at opendesktop.org. So you’d have to ask them.
The situation is fairly confusing at the moment since using a subdomain of kde.org definitely implies that this is officially controlled by KDE and using KDE infrastructure, when in fact neither is true.

I have sent an email to opendesktop.org about the use of google analytics on their “Libre Cloud Service” pling platform

If anyone is still interested, my email hasn’t been answered. Opendesktop still uses google analytics when visited with javascript enabled.
