Last couple of days, my Thunderbird icon is broken, assuming after updates, but not sure if it is a Plasma problem, a Thunderbird problem, or maybe a Panel problem??
Have the old BIRD icon, pinned to the panel, but when I click on it to start, instead of just leaving the BIRD icon on the panel, it adds another icon which is yellow, and has a “W” on it, as the active icon.

Thanks, but don’t think I could be bothered…
Still wondering why this has only happened in the last week, though…?
For me on openSUSE Tumbleweed I changed the name of the thunderbird.desktop
file to thunderbird-esr.desktop
and that worked.
Following this discussion of the same error from the openSUSE mailing list:
lists[dot]opensuse[dot]org/archives/list/bugs@lists.opensuse.org/message/LBCEHAGBG54BO3QGWF44TVK3JTWAK2FG/
Simply:
sudo mv /usr/share/applications/thunderbird.desktop /usr/share/applications/thunderbird-esr.desktop
Perfect!
Thanks.
