When pasting a clip from one sequence tab and into another, it looks like one’s “current location” in the timeline is not remembered in some instances.
As far as I can tell, it depends on whether you perform the paste operation while a clip in the destination sequence tab is selected or not.
Sharing repro steps below to see if I’m alone in seeing this before possibly submitting a bug or FR. Regardless of whether it is a bug or feature, the scenario is a significant problem for me because after losing my place in the timeline in this way, I have a super difficult time finding my way “back”. (Especially when the clip in question was very short and I was zoomed in while copying.)
To reproduce the issue:
- In Sequence tab #1, click on a location in the timeline where you intend to paste a clip
- Click on Sequence tab #2
- Select a clip and copy it to clipboard
- Return to Sequence tab #1
- Paste clip. It should appear in the selected location.
- Return to Sequence tab #2, to find that you are viewing a different (later) portion of the timeline.
Work around the issue:
Edit: Hmm, my workaround is no longer working (removing the text). I am a little confused now.
