Version 24.05.1. Have a video and titles are no longer displayed with a transparent background. An earlier saved version has the title transparency working fine.
Difference between the two was the addition of an audio track to the earlier version. This is happening on all titles in the video.
Which OS and Kdenlive package do you use?
Hi there-
I’m using MX23, with Kdenlive 24.05.1 from Flathub.
I had been using the audio reference tools to match up and replace some camera recorded sound with sound recorded from a digital recorder. I noticed that the first run of the tool was much faster then subsequent runs, and wonder if I might have a config problem on my end that is causing some issues. I have noticed that CPU and memory usage seems very low when running Kdenlive.
I dropped back to a saved version of my film, continued working with the audio tool, and have not had the issue again.
Here’s a Quick System info in case it is of any help:

Thanks for taking the time to look. If I can do anything further, please let me know. I do really like the software!
I see you are using Plasma 5.27.5. If so, that could be the issue as Plasma 5 uses Qt5 and Kdenlive uses Qt6. I think you have to update to Plasma 6.x as Plasma 6 uses Qt6 as well and better x11 integration.
Before switching to Plasma 6, try the AppImage to see if this is working.
Thanks,
Unfortunately, Plasma 6 is not supported on this distro. It’s probably not going to be until next year, and it’s a bad time for me to switch distros.
Safe to switch this project over to the appimage midstream?
Thanks for your suggestions.
I would think so. Make a copy first, just in case, but so far KDL has been very good with working on projects using the appimage or installed version.
