Titlebar appmenu misplaced, mis-scaled

Recently (the last month, actually), the appmenu in the title bar behaves in a strange manner:

1. The appmenu itself is placed away from the button when the window is maximized

Previously they appmenu was much closer to the appmenu button

2. The appmenu travels far away when window is not maximized or is tiled

3. When clicked on appmenu, the sub-menus are often incorrectly scaled vertically

Background info

  • This behavior happens irregularly and only at first click to a submenu. When clicked for the 2nd time it is displayed normally.
  • This behavior is repeats both with Qt and GTK apps

System

  • System: Arch (latest)
  • Plasma: 6.2.4
  • KDE Framework: 6.8.0
  • Display server: Wayland
  • Notebook: ThinkPad T14 Gen 1
  • Video: Mesa Intel® UHD Graphics

Anyone knows how this problem can be fixed?

If you’ve got a single monitor, this is a known bug that’ll be fixed in Plasma 6.2.5: 495787 – Application menu positioning is incorrect even with only a single screen

If you have multiple monitors, it’s still broken: 413771 – Menu does not show in right place with multiple monitors

@ngraham , thank you for the quick reply!
This problem happens on 2 systems, both with built-in screens without attached external monitors:

  • Lenovo Thinkpad T14 with Manjaro
  • uConsole with Arch

Hopefully with the next upgrade it will go away.

P.S.
I just wonder how I report bugs that do not exist on laptop but do exist on uConsole? )
