Toggle to disable Wifi & Ethernet being connected at same time (Feature Request)

Hi, I have a feature request. I’d like there to be a toggle for disabling the ability to be connected to WiFi and Ethernet at the same time, instead automatically disconnecting the network with lower priority like Windows seems to.

I have noticed it causes problems for me in certain online games, consistently disconnecting me from matches after some time has passed. I don’t experience these disconnects anymore if I manually disconnect myself from the WiFi before/during playing, but it sucks to have to do that every time.

Simply toggling off WiFi isn’t ideal for me, because it takes a little while for the Ethernet connection to kick in, so disabling WiFi means no internet for a few minutes on startup. I’ve tried setting different priorities for the networks but it hasn’t helped.

I’m not sure if these problems are partly due to some quirks of my internet, but I have consistently observed the problems going away when I am connected to only WiFi or Ethernet. It would be nice to have a toggle option for people with a situation like mine.

Check that your BIOS doesn’t have this functionality already, but it is certainly possible in a number of ways. There are some good examples here unix.stackexchange.com/questions/517919/systemd-way-to-disable-wlan-if-wired-network-is-available

My feature request for a GUI solution still stands, but thanks! I’ll look into it. Sorry late response
