Transistor - A new application for listening to Internet radio

This project grew out of my Advanced Radio Player widget.
Now it’s a full-fledged radio app.
Features:
Create your own library where you can add your favorite stations
Easily search and discover new radio stations
Automatic recognition of tracks if is possible
Adaptive application layout, compatible for small and large screens

Feedback and comments are welcome )

Great app. Built in seconds, lovely interface, instantly listening to music. Fantastic, will make a great partner to fooyin. Thank you for making it.

Looking forward to testing this. I spend 95% on my waking day listening to music and 100% of my time doing so at the computer while working. ARP is a mandatory widget for my systems.

I’ve just compiled Transistor and added my favourite station (Radio Caprice Dark Jazz) and I’m not getting any audio through. In the audio taskbar widget, under applications, it shows the application there and that it is playing audio (the audio indicator bar is there, and animated), but I’m not getting sound.

So I switched from bluetooth headphones, to laptop speaker output and there I have sound. Switching back to bluetooth headphones, I now have sound through those. However, stopping the station and starting it again causes the same issue. I have to switch to laptop output and then back to bluetooth device (this isn’t an issue with the ARP widget).

I hooked up a pair of wired headphones to test and I have no issues with sound restarting when stopping / starting the radio. So I’m guessing its bluetooth related.

Edit: Uninstalled, purged repo from system, removed any trace files related to transistor, re-cloned repo, re-compiled, now works with bluetooth without having to switch between laptop and bluetooth headphones.

You are actually absolutely right, there is a problem with the audio output device selection (I am working on a fix). Thank you for your feedback!

Funktioniert wirklich wunderbar - vielen Dank dafür

Works good, besides one bug (not sure if it’s related to my setup or the app): the output device resets to default when switching stations. Opened an issue.

Thank’s for your reply. I prepare a big update for app. Stay tuned )
