Transparency for the application startmenu and taskbar

Hi Community,

how can I set or configure the transparency of the taskbar and the start menu?

I have not found anything about this in the system settings. I also did not find anything in the settings dialog of the application launcher where I could change the transparency.

Is this not (yet) possible under Wayland and Plasma6 or is there a workaround?

My system:

Distribution : KDE neon 6.0
Kernel : 6.5.0-28-generic
SystemD : systemd 249 (249.11-0ubuntu3.12)
Plasma : 6.0.4
Qt : 6.7.0-0xneon
Kwin X11 : 6.0.4.1
Kwin Wayland : 6.0.4.1
Akonadi-Server : 24.02.2
Akonadi : 6.0.2
Kmail : 6.0.2

Greetings
Michael

For the Application Launcher (start menu) play with Blur and Background Contrast in Appearance under Desktop Effects in the System Settings (it’s $ kcmshell6 kcm_kwin_effects).

For the panel(s) (taskbar) you can use Panel Colorizer as suggested by schwarzerkater.

And before you say it I also agree (and posted twice) that at least a basic transparency adjusting slider should be baked-in by default
