Transparent background of overlay image removed during render

I have several images and animations in my videos that have full transparent background. These range from transparent pngs to transparent .mov files. I place these over my videos and they just appear where they should.

For years these have caused no issues at all. But the last two videos I’ve done, when rendered, the transparency is completely gone. The render settings have not changed, I’ve not had an update (I use the flatpak version), and the images themselves have not changed. I should note that during preview in kdenlive, the transparency is present and looks as it should

You can see what I’m talking about at the 0:09 second mark of this video: https://youtu.be/C-E6Rv0gDb0?si=h3KV1vP2YQTrjbGs

It happens several times in that video and the one before.

Any help would be appreciated. I can include whatever logs need to be included, just point me in the right direction.

edit: I’m using hyrpland with the hyprland portal, and I’m on openSUSE Tumbleweed.

Just an update, this appears to be a problem with the flatpak.

I downloaded the appimage, and it works fine. The flatpak remains doing the same thing. I even reset the flatpak (deleted the entire app directory in .var) and it still removes the transparency. Both the appimage and the flatpak were tested on the same project file.
