How do I disable or toggle TTS or speech. Search in settings does not reveal this.
I asked my magic 8 ball and it said you need to give more information.
Which distro are you using and have you installed any TTS software? As far as I know KDE doesn’t come with TTS by default

enable screen reader and then disable screen reader.
there is a shortcut meta+alt+s that is all too easy to hit accidentally.
ahhh, that’s why I couldn’t find it. It needs Orca installed - which is interesting in itself since it’s a Gnome app.
BTW, TTS is enabled, and one can make use of it in Okular, KMouth etc. also by installing speech-dispatcher plus qt6-speech-speechd-plugin(without ORCA).
