No printers are found using the normal printer installation function. Manual installation via the IP address also does not work.
HPLIP cannot be installed as a last resort. In other distros, e.g. Debian 13, the printer can be integrated without any problems using HPLIP (same Virtualbox installation, same VM configuration).
HPLIP and drivers for most printers are already pre-installed, and this is working for me on bare-metal non-VM installations of KDE Linux. Make sure that USB or network passthrough are working on your VM.

Printer installation
I installed Kubuntu and Anduinos in parallel in the same Virtualbox installation.
Kubuntu was installed with the Plasma 6 interface. With Network Bridged in VM configuration, the printer was found and set up immediately.
The printer was not set up in KDE Linux, but I was able to find it by searching and the selection with ipps connection works.
Sorry, I had set the network connection to NAT.
