It would be great and more intuitive to unify all wallpaper and background settings in one place. For example, the lock screen, the login screen (like SDDM), and the desktop all have separate wallpaper settings. It would be helpful to manage them from a single interface, with the option to set them individually if desired.

Hi! For what it’s worth, there are a couple of existing feature requests in the KDE Bugtracking System that involve easier sync between different wallpaper settings:
- 408863 – [Feature Request] Use wallpaper selector for SDDM background image
- 488891 – Option to sync lock screen wallpaper with desktop
This looks like something that will just require someone with the time, ability and interest to jump in and figure out how to implement
Anyway, for what it’s worth, I support this change. As a new user, I actually thought it was a bug that the lock screen background in SDDM didn’t change when I updated it in the lock screen settings, I didn’t realize it was intentional and there was another settings entry only for sddm.
