Unstable network interface

Hello, I have a problem with one of my network interfaces
This is journalct --system -f

And it goes on and on

I have already tested my entire environment on a GNOME distribution, and the problem does not appear, any ideas?

The enp2s0 is connected to a PoE NVR port used for surveillance videos

Hi - what distributions were tested with that same hardware? I’m asking as different distributions may use different Linux kernels, or have different configurations of NetworkManager, that could lead to issues showing up in one place but not the other.

And in turn, I’m thinking of the above because the desktop environment alone would intuitively seem to be an unlikely cause for an issue involving network adapters - conceptually, that would happen lower down in the “stack” of system components.

Hello, I tested with Alma Linux 9.2 (GNOME) and Alma Linux 9.5 (KDE)
In GNOME I have no problems, but in KDE I have this strange problem.

But if I insert an RJ45 hub in the middle (PC and NVR in the hub), the problem does not appear, I will use it this way, thank you

Glad there’s a way around it for you! For what it’s worth, it sounds like an issue with the interaction between your hardware and the Linux kernel - both versions of AlmaLinux that you mentioned are taking a 4 1/2 year old kernel version, and applying hundreds of patches on top. Different versions would likely have different patches applied, though.

If you’re set on AlmaLinux, I’d suggest reaching out to their team with details about your hardware so they can investigate why something that worked in 9.2 didn’t work in 9.5
