I thought I had a properly working 24.04 Neon 6.2 system, but today’s update broke something.
When I do normal bootup, I get to the KDE Neon “spinning gear”, but only for a couple seconds before I get a black screen (and the keyboard numlock stops working)
Using the “recovery mode” boot I get to the repair options, but selecting ‘continue boot’ results in a black screen with a blinking underline in the upper left. And it just stays that way. But it hasn’t completely crashed, as I can press the power button and it will enter the restart process.
Booting kernel 6.8.0-45 works fine, so its’ something to do with the -47 kernel. Maybe Nvidia drivers? But they’ve been working perfectly for a long time now…
How do I even begin to troubleshoot this? There are no error messages, so I’m at a loss how to diagnose.
Any help appreciated!
