Virtual memory/swap

Hello, please add a dedicated tab in the settings, allowing users to increase virtual memory/swap, like on Android, from 512MB to 50GB, with a warning to help the user understand how it works.

This would also help users who don’t know how to manage swap, as many PCs lack the ability to increase RAM, and therefore use swap along with RAM.

This graphical option is very helpful; you choose what you want and go for it.

Best of luck always!

a GUI to configure swap space would be handy, but seems a layer below the Desktop Environment.

Adding swap to disk may work for you if you understand your workload.

But in the general case swapping to HDD or SSD will in the end lead to performance issues in a desktop system like plasma. Even SSD cannot swap fast enough to prevent kernel issues with memory is very low.

Fedora changes to use zram for swap a while ago as that is fast enough to get you out of trouble.

Does your system use zram for swap?
If not give that a try and see how you get on.

Hi, I use both, but with ZRAM I noticed a really good difference in performance.
