In the world of visualizers, some apps have some ( parole, vlc, audacious etc…). Some run in terminal or desktop ( cava, xava, glava etc…).
I stumbled upon two nifty , very similar, ones. Cavalier and Cavasik.
They are very easy to set up ( gui) and have some good options.
I doubt they can run in a terminal, but, for the ones who might like it ( partymode or something…), worth a look at the stuff.
