Hi everyone. I’d like to showcase my submission to the wallpaper contest, Neptune. Neptune is designed to be simple and elegant. The planetary vibe is designed to convey the theme of new horizons and a new generation of the Plasma Desktop, while the abstraction of the planet is designed to make it feel more elegant and simple. The blue colour scheme was chosen due to being the primary colour of KDE, and is the origin of the name “Neptune” since that planet is blue. It also faces down towards the bottom of the desktop, pointing towards the new floating-by-default panel.
