Wayland to X11 Video bridge

Does anyone know what this stuff is and how to treat it? imgur: /a/IbnOOQG

The icon appears only in the Wayland session. The problem is that it stupidly hangs in the tray, it is also impossible to hide it in the tray config

By clicking the right mouse button - one item Quit. Why is it there and what if you do Quit? Will Wayland-negative rumors stop running? Is this stuff necessary?

Me sys:
Operating System: KDE neon 6.0
KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.4.0
Qt Version: 6.7.0
Kernel Version: 6.7.12-x64v4-xanmod1 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 6 Ă— AMD Ryzen 5 4500U with Radeon Graphics
Memory: 18,7 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon Graphics

I can’t see your images, no idea how to use an “imgur:” url.

But this is what I see:

No issue hiding it on both of my neon systems.

It is a utility mainly for being able to screenshare Wayland aplication windows with x11 ones, such as Discord, Teams, etc.

Wayland to X11 video bridge is a kind of utility to allow screensharing between X11 and Wayland apps.
In my use (and yours also I think), it’s not useful.
So I click on quit very often and it makes nothing :grinning:
You don’t have to hesitate when you click on quit, you can make it and nothing will happen!

If you have more questions, don’t hesitate to tell me.

Or set it to disabled in the systray settings, as seen in my image but not mentioned.
