Ways to improve Klipper on KDE

I use Klipper on KDE 6.2 extensively and have the option, Always save in history, enabled. It is a very convenient feature; however, if I select any text by dragging the mouse instead doubl-click, there are way too many entries in the clipboard. For example:
A new nove
A new no
A new n
etc. etc…

It would be nice to have the following 2 options to enable copying:

  1. selectable delay, say 700 msec
  2. specify key modifier, say Ctrl

Can anyone suggest ways to accomplish this short of code change?
Thank you…

Ah, I noticed this behaviour also… however, I generally default to CopyQ.

It was a very weird phenomenon - I just replaced the clipboard shortcut to call up CopyQ instead.

This should be fixed!!!
