I’m interested what people are doing with their Stream Decks. One obvious is OBS control. But I’m maybe interested more on other uses. So please share your ideas. Home assistant I guess is popular there.
I can start with my favorite page that I mostly use to launch some scripts that are in daily use.
This is rather empty looking and nothing impressive there. But what the most buttons do is control monitors. I have 4 monitors, on working time I generally have them all on and stuff on them. But then on “free time” I tend to use just two. And because powering the monitors on and off is not fun I have scripts that can do that. For example the red button turns monitors off, the green turns them all on. On top of them is one that turns “non-primary” ones on and off. I also use KVM’s so I can swap also configurations. There is some audio controls so that I can decide where the sound comes from. Very useful as I mostly use speakers, but then in meetings I use headset so I can easily swap these around. (The night one enables bedside speakers to give me some background noise to fall sleep on and waking up at morning to something else than annoying alarm.) My keyboard might be actually on different machine due KVM, so I don’t have direct hotkey I could use. So this ends up being my most used page even if it’s super simple.
This is using StreamController found in flathub. Scripts use ddcutil/dbus etc.
