What's the most similar, achievable alternative to, or implementation of, manual application groups in Task Manager?

Chromium and Firefox’s chrome now support tab groups, and the same has been suggested for VS Code, to significant support:

Google Chrome Beta recently announced [grouped tabs](https://blog.google/product…s/chrome/manage-tabs-with-google-chrome/), which is pretty awesome. Having it integrated with the search, where a group is automatically created once you open more than one search result, should help with the tab clutter it ensues. Same for Peek references, automatic grouping of files within the same folders... I see many possibilities for it.

Similarly, can I group multiple applications in the Task Manager plasmoid? I presume not, so if not, does a feature request exist for it, or an alternative plasmoid?

I desire an additional, manual grouping capability, usable in tandem.

This isn’t a feature the Task Manager widget has.

You might be able to manually approximate is using multiple instances of the Task Manager or even Quick Launch widget separated by fixed-width spacers or something, but that’s going to be left as an exercise for the reader.
