When saving custom layout - no way to switch to it

Kdenlive version: 23.08.5
OS: Linux Mint 22.1 Xia
Installation method: via standard apt-get

I have found that when I save a custom UI layout - and then navigate to some other UI layout - there is no way to switch back to my saved custom UI layout again. It’s missing from the “Load Layout” menu.

What helps is to close/open Kdenlive. Then my custom UI layout appears in the “Load Layout” menu.

Is this by design?

I have recorded a screengrab of this flow, to exactly showcase what happens for me:

I can “manage” my “Layouts” from the Menu.
Try to do that.
There you can move the layouts.

Hi @valera-rozuvan, and welcome to the forum and community.

I just tested it with 25.04.1 on Pop!_OS and the saved layout shows up immediately in the list of layouts under Kdenlive Menu > View > Load Layout.

So, I recommend updating your version via Flathub or simply install the appimage. Both are available from the Kdenlive Download page.

Just checked - yes - the Mint edition is a bit outdated.

Pulling the latest version of Kdenlive I could get my hands on - and the issue is gone!
