All filmmakers who earn their money with a video editor always want or need to be one step faster and more modern than the others. But let’s be honest: Who among the highly active professionals really uses Kdenlive? Kdenlive is for creative people who want to create something themselves. They want to express themselves, realise their ideas, say something. And above all for people who love opensource and accept certain compromises in return. And they all want a video editor that works well and reliably. I wouldn’t mind a bit of AI, I don’t have to use it. But if the development of AI comes at the expense of the quality of the other functions - then I certainly wouldn’t want it. Kdenlive is very good, but it still has many issues that are much more important than implementing AI.
