Why KDE Linux, although Arch Linux KDE?

I’m on Arch Linux KDE btw since around 1 year, despite Why Akonadi uses RAM despite not used? , https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=514459 & https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=509714 I’m satisfied, the best DE I tested so far.

I’m surprised by that KDE Linux - KDE Community , created using Arch Linux packages but there is not even pacman, instead Flatpak & Snap, urk…

The latest kde-linux_202601200259.raw needs the entire drive, not just a partition… I can paste the content of an archlinux-*-x86_64.iso to a FAT32 partition then boot it.

Double click the installer icon (sh -c “pkexec calamares“) worked not! So Konsole, sudo pkexec calamares …

The Calamares GUI installer (no CLI as Arch Linux), you even can’t format to F2FS…

Without forgetting KDE neon https://neon.kde.org/

Can’t you just tell people “KDE runs best on Arch Linux!“ or an ad like that  ?

Not necessary as there are discussions towards Fedora: Analysis: switch the base to Fedora (#459) · Tasks · KDE Linux / KDE Linux · GitLab at least for “KDE Linux”.
But made with the same design philosophy KDE Linux deep dive: package management is amazing, which is why we don’t include it – Adventures in Linux and KDE
it would change nothing that helps your case.

Obviously not made for you. Just stay at Arch, as I do (in my case mostly because of nvidia), or maybe try Fedora KDE itself and be happy.
