I’ve been working on a little media player as I couldn’t find one that fits my listening habits. I’m looking at moving from a strictly Qt app to using KDE libraries (mainly for metadata) and wondering if I should make the move from a widgets based app to Kirigami. What are the advantages of using Kirigami over widgets?
If you are currently using widgets I would suggest to continue using that.
Fewer changes outside of the things you atually want to change when moving to use of KDE Frameworks
Thanks for the advise, I’m all for making things easier. Haven’t done any real programming in years and even then it was small command–line programs to automate some mundane task.
It’s been a challenge keeping my laptop on the desk and not flying out the window.
