Wifi HP printer install Plasma 5.27.9

Hell all
This used to be easy but I had to reinstall Manjaro Plasma yesterday and system settings->printer->add printer ->printer list does not see my HP hp mfp m281fdw.
Nor can I do a search.

I am on a home wifi network, no firewalls etc,

It worked just fine beginning of the year with no issues detecting the printer.

I tried downloading and installing HPLIP, that sees the printer but just will not add the printer.

This is very very strange as I have never had an issue with HP printers since KDE 3.

The printer is in perfect working order and connected to the network.

Also I don’t have a cable

Thank you for any assistance.

Cheers
Fred

Hi - I’d assume printers are handled at a point in the system software stack below where KDE Plasma sits - have you checked out Manjaro’s guide / made sure the underlying system packages are in place?

HI and thanks for the input. The hlip (hp-toolbox) solution did not work. It just kept looping back.

I think the avahi solutions were what was missing. Than you again!
