Window Management -> Advanced -> Window placement -> Maximized vs Centered

After trying out the ‘maximized’ option in window management for several weeks, I have encountered an issue that is quite detrimental.

When hovering over taskbar programs, regardless of the settings for displaying tooltips, it overlays a hideous translucent nearly opaque white window over my entire screen (I assume its maximizing the tooltip).

Even when i have window behavior set to ‘centered’, it still glitches occasionally when hovering over them, having weird zoomed text and artifacts until i move the cursor and hover back over it - which fixes the tooltip, albeit temporarily.

I am using click to focus. I have dual monitors. running cachyos with plasma. nvidia 2080ti and ryzen 5600x run perfectly fine in all other cases. system updated daily.

To me, that sounds like a completely different problem. You stated yourself that it doesn’t matter how the “Window Placement” is set for your problem to arise. Is the task manager the only place where you see display glitches like this? Could you maybe screen-record this?
