There is a KDE bug where when I am focused inside a Guest OS (tried with Virtualbox and Boxes), that has key capture, and i press the windows/meta key, it brings up both the start menu for the Guest and Host OS, even though the VM is supposed to capture the key press. Is there a workaround for this?
here’s the exact solution to your issue.

Tad different in 22.04.2
After running a guest OS, from its title bar > right click context menu >> “More Actions” >> “Configure Special Application Settings”, click “+Add Property” and search for “Ignore global shortcuts”. Then set the drop-down to “Force” and the radio button to “Yes”.
Voila!
