Xdg-desktop-portal-kde / KIO file-picker always open in same place (on screen)

File picker dialog in applications using it always open in the same place on screen, on first (of two) screen - not (!) primary screen. For me this is true for Firefox (apt based install) and Chromium (flatpak based), a completely new created user, since a couple of months (maybe since update to plasma 6) and on KDE neon.

Expected behavior would be: remember last position on screen and open there until moved.

Searched on bugs to no avial.

Is this intended? Any idea how to change behavior?

I would actually expect it to open on the screen of the application that requested it.

Any native file dialog would do exactly that.

Are you on X11 or Wayland?

so i do :wink: to clarify: FF or Chromium runs on screen 2, File-Picker opens on screen 1.

Despite the fact, that the Wayland session in total was a desaster for me .. at least i can confirm that my issue with the xdg based file-picker did not occur in the Wayland session for Chromium. (FF crashed on start start)

Same and I also see this behavior.
That’s why I was asking :slight_smile:

That could indicate that we are looking at a KWin-X11 bug.
