Clipboard only going from desktop to android, not android to desktop.

Android doesn’t allow this automatically, not since A10 or so. You have to manually send to clipboard contents. You should have an option for this in your pull-down menus, or possibly via a persistent notification of you are not on a recent Android version.

You may be able to force it using adb but I am too lazy to bother, since the pull down works quickly for me, and I don’t want my Klipper saved history to fill up too quickly.

AI tells me you are referring to something called “android debug bridge” which sounds complicated. I’d be happy to try this, but I’d need detailed instructions because although I’m computer literate and have worked in IT, I’m not a programmer or a geek. It’s a bit of a pest having to go and open kde connect to send the clipboard, and I assume I can’t do this from within the app I’m trying to copy the text from.

What about from your pull down menu? From Android 14 or 13, maybe earlier, you should have this as in option which should be configurable so you can place it in a place that is good for you.

There are gobs of tutorials on using adb from Linux.

I don’t use linux, and I don’t want to learn adb.

But… thanks! I never knew you could rearrange those things on the pulldown menu (I have android 12 and it works). And I never would have thought new things would appear on it. I’ve made it be one of the top four, since my phone pulls down to show 4 + the notifications first, then you can pull it again for more buttons.
