Dolphin ignores double click setting on hyprland

I use KDE and Hyprland on arch. In KDE I can configure dolphin to open files with single or double click (with the System Settings). When I switch to hyprland (on the same system) dolphin only opens files/folders on double click, regardless of the System Settings (or the setting in kdeglobals).
Any ideas why? Is this a bug or does dolphin need a background service for this functionality or sth else?

This seems similar to: Single click always opens files despite system set to select. (dolphin)
but I am not using an external theme.

Is there an option to switch to single click and its not working, or is there just no option at all?

In dolphin there is no option, but because I have also KDE installed I can use/open System Settings (also from hyprland) there the option is present.
Yeah might be related. Comment 2 seems to have also the issue that kdeglobal settings are getting ignored.
