I have a second firefox profile and pinned it to the taskbar with the commandline argument -p profilename and gave it a different icon. Now, when i open that profile, it basically shows up under the default icon.
Is this inevitable or am i doing something wrong?

This has been discussed several times on Discuss. A quick search could help. But separate taskbar icons shouldn’t be a prob.
All are Firefox windows.

several times or one time
Today I noticed that it is no more possible to have two different task manager icons for two different Firefox sessions (opened with two different profiles). I have just one task manager icon.
And this is very confusing. Because I choose a different icon for the second profile (called as different app in menu) exactly to know which Firefox profile I have opened.
My system:
Operating System: KDE neon 6.0
KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.4.0
Qt Version: 6.7.2
Kernel Versio…
the solution was to use a different fork…
Great it works for you. You did all that but couldnt be bothered to explain how you did it?

Several. If this is the topic you’re referring to https://discuss.kde.org/t/confusing-task-manager-icons/20116/8 then it’s explained.
On a sidenote, I still think ssb’s are the easiest solution. Regardless the browser.
These are two Brave windows.
